Monday Morning Mantra

Welcome to Revenge of Eve’s

MONDAY MORNING MANTRA

Each Monday I shuffle and draw two cards from two sources, a box set and a deck. The box set boasts encouragement, self-love, goals and focus while the deck affirms our individual power. I then use the two cards to guide me throughout the week. I place the cards on my refrigerator as a visual reference and I write them daily in my journal as written reference. If I find myself experiencing unwanted emotions or challenging thoughts I refer to the cards drawn. I have found this to be an empowering and powerful exercise. One that I decided to share with my readers.

Affirmation

This week’s affirmation reminds us to get still. Whether we realize it or not there is a constant chatter in our mind. It’s that nonstop voice that filters the world we see. It’s the voice that tells us the sky is pretty or that a property is a mess. This voice isn’t the truth. It is our personal filter. The truth in silence is the sound of a bird chirping, the wind blowing across our face, the lightning that we see. The truth triggers our senses. It doesn’t need a detailed description. Everyone has a voice and that voice’s filter is different for each of us, however, the truth found in silence is the same. It is felt not moderated. It is seen. It is heard. It is.

It isn’t easy to describe what the truth found in silence is like. First and foremost it is an inner knowing that doesn’t require words.

Encouragement

This week’s encouragement coincides with our affirmation prompting us to take time to ourselves. Even if you have been unmotivated and lazy, you deserve a break. A break from the constant chatter. A time frame where you allow yourself to breathe and not think. Time to listen to the truth in silence. Give yourself permission.
